Reyn Ouwehand - Galway Remixed
2002 / Netherlands
Reyn did it again. Now with only Galway on his mind. This is good, really good. It's sounds like he has gathered all the trance- and sid-sounds in the world to perform together, and managed too. A record with eleven old nice Martin Galway sids in new suites. Check it out!

Instant Remedy - Instant Remedy
2002 / Sweden
At last it arrived! Instant Remedy aka Martin Andersson is maybe the greatest C64-remixer ever lived. Pure techno- and trance-stylish tunes with high BMP. Don't read the reviews boys and girls, just buy it! And don't have respect for any DJ without this one in their collection! Thanks Instant for saving the earth.

Various Artists - Remix 64
2002 / U.K.?
Hrmm... the ugly CD-cover makes me want to puke, and that's not a good start. Why do they use this ugly chick all over their homepage and CD-cover? No offense, none taken... good. They wanted to do remixes that sounded 80's and they managed to do so on some of them. It's mainly easy listening that doesn't appeal you to hard. Maybe something for the chill room on a raveparty?

Slow Poison - Karma 64
2002 / United Kingdom
From the guys behind www.c64audio.com. Slow Poison are ArpMeister Chris, DJ Boz and MC Kenz. It contains lots of different types of Commodore 64-remixes. But is this the ones that were so bad that they didn't appear on any of the Back in Time records? No I don't think sp at least. It comes in a DVD-case and has also a CD-rom section.

Pontonius - 82/89
2002 (5 September) / Sweden
Pontonius (Pontus Olsson) is another star on the Gameboy scene. This little record includes three tracks of Commodore 64 music and three of Gameboy music. The track "Electromagnetic Pulse" is made in two versions, one on each format. This guy knows how to use his equipment, that's for sure.

Various Artists - Super Play Bitpop Volym Ett
2002 (9 August) / Sweden
Great idea to make a free CD and let it follow you home when you purchased the Swedish game-magazine Super Play. But unfortunately this one sucks. Ok, it's only a promotion CD but hey why not have the original tunes instead? Many of the remixes are not good at all... And Alistair Bowness that speaks between the songs, sounds like he has a donut in his mouth. At least Instant Remedy rocks, as always!

Slagsmålsklubben - Live in Rödby 1991
2002 / Sweden
First time I heard them, they were ok! Second time a little bit better. But this time they really kick ass! Wonder what weird instruments they use... It's live too, even though I don't know why they call it "Live in Rödby 1991"? (It's supposed to be a danish - but don't know how to make one in Dreamweaver...) The URL is just temporary, but check it out before it dissapears.

Covox - Handheld Electropop
2002 (15 May) / Sweden
Another demo made with the LSDJ (Little Sound DJ) for the Gameboy and some other equipment like an old Casio Synth and the Clavia Micromodular. Covox real name is Thomas Söderlund, and he is from Stockholm. The demo contains six tunes that may sound a little uninteresting in the beginning but after 1:19 in the first track it all changes.

HT - Smashar i huvudet
2001 / Sweden
Niemo (Greger Eklund) & Goto80 (Anders Carlsson) are from Varberg in the southwest of Sweden. They sing about synthersizers, mopeds, girls and sodadrinks. Their music are mostly C64 based. If you liked Björn Rosenström's "Sånger som är sådär", you'll love this record, it's twice as good! By the way "Lilla Blå" is a tribute to the videogame character Mega Man.

2001 (March) / Sweden
A bootleg record that Sol & Fredrik Rambris made to spread the evangel of gamemusic. It's based on the music that have been played in the old radioshow M-P3. Of course I couldn't give it anything else but five out of five stars. I think it's worth it.

Minibosses - Minibosses
2000 / USA
Minibosses is an American rockband that play classic NES tunes. One of the first maybe? Their not the only ones nowadays. A weird thing is that folks use their name to publish their own Nintendo-covers, that's a pity. Read more about it on their site. The members are Ben (Ben Baraldi), Burke (Aaron Burke) and Woody (Matt Wood).

Synthax - Robot Girl

Synthax is Erik Lundin & Kristofer Bohlin. The record "Robot Girl" is a tribute to the Commodore 64. Sadly, it's to much synth and to little weird C64 sounds on it. But maybe it was great back in '98? Why not check iit out if you like Synth. They have released two other albums as well.
